O Scale Hall of Fame honorees are nominated by an O Scale National Convention committee or added through write-in votes as the election is held at each years annual O Scale National Convention. The honorees are Listed below in the order inducted. We will be adding links to include more background on these O Scale Pioneers. Comments published online for the O Scale Hall of Fame honorees have been previously published in 48/ft, O Scale News between 1970 and January 2006 and are covered by OSN's copyright.
Minor Note: While most conventions nominate several locally or nationally famous O Scale figures sometimes there are exceptions: 1999,there was no vote at all; 2003, the committee chose their three (3) nominees leaving left space for one write-in and then rather than accepting the top person to honor added all three of the committee's choices (vote held this year at banquet which was not attended by all convention goers no write-in received more votes than the committee's choices). The 2003 Hall of Fame was also the 10th anniversary of the O Scale Hall of Fame, and yet the anniversary passed unnoticed and stress was placed on a social/business group, the O Scale Kings/O Scale Sig with promises to re-create the O Scale Hall of Fame plaque. The original plaque, created by Ginger & Corey Jones in 1993, was not seen at the convention (and has not been displayed since the mid-1990s). Perhaps this will reappear in the future or someone will create a new plaque. New pages for honorees will not be added at this time. Since 2003, there was no sign of a new plaque, but committees have created certificates for inductees who are still with us.
