These pages contain short notes to add to the general
information that is available about future conventions. In addition to schedule & contact information, you
can find a few links to area attractions (including railroad related notes ranging from the railroads that are
"local" to nearby train museum), hotels, and general information about the convention's state & city.
Not all of these links are available at the "official" convention websites and, occasionally, your favorite
local tour can be one that is either not scheduled when you are able to attend or not offered by the national.
Case in point, The Tarantula Train
at the 2003 convention — those who
won't make the Sunday tour may want to schedule a separate trip. Our favorite side tour was in 1998 and anyone
travelling to Massachusetts should travel to Lowell just to see the National Park Service Displays and ride their
free trolley.
We retain the pages to past National Conventions until the last link "breaks" and perhaps one of these
groups will decide to host another convention and this will save us a bit of work. Enjoy. |
