"Somewhere
in Pennsylvania" transitioned after a few months to be "September in Indiana". Well at the 2004 O Scale National Convention
banquet, no clubs bid to host the 2007 convention and Joe Gionnavario volunteered to host the 2007 O Scale National
Convention. Those who attended the after party heard a few proposed treats in PA but no definitive plans. 'Nuff
said. Hmmm… Jim agreed to handle the 39th O Scale National Convention in conjunction with his Fall Train Show and
take the burden from Joe. This will be the first O Scale National that Jim has sponsored, but he and members of
local P:48 groups have earned raves as well as a wonderful reputation for their well-organized, pleasant and smoothly
run Fall shows.
The September meet in Indianapolis
is a popular favorite in the Midwest and there are a large number of layouts (in varios stages of construction,
that might be available for Open House layout tours. Discount hotel rates are plentiful in the Indianapolis area
(and the room rates at high end hotels are very affordable). No costs have been announced.
