The Fairfax Station Museum is located at 11200 Fairfax Station Road, Fairfax Station, Virginia, in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC, approximately 24 miles west of the Nation's Capital. The original Fairfax Station was constructed in the 1850s. During the Civil War, the station was the site of several raids and battles, and a center for emergency treatment of the wounded from the Battle of Second Manassas where Clara Barton first volunteered. The replica of the station is now a museum of local railroading and Civil War memorabilia. |
